Your access of our web pages unavoidably transmits certain information about the request to our server. This information is not generally of a personal nature. We provide further details in the section below.
Whenever you contact us via e-mail, by phone, place a request by any other means or enter a contractual relationship with us, you will probably disclose certain information that may contain personal details that will be necessary in order to fulfill the contract or respond to your request. If a legal contract exists between you or the corporation you work for and us, the agreement will cover those aspects as well and in an appropriate level of detail – here we present this information in general.
Our use of your data
The Lavielle Services GmbH & Co. KG i.L. assumes responsibility to protect your privacy and your personal information. Your personal data will only be used and handled in accordance with the strict data privacy laws applicable to Germany.
We will use your data only to process your requests, e.g. an order, and only with your permission which you would imply by, for instance, asking for a call-back or by placing an order. In general, Lavielle does not sell or otherwise publish personal data to third parties unless the data is needed to process your request. For example it is obvious that a postal service will need your name and address to deliver something to you.
If you contact us using mail, telephone, fax, a web form or e-mail and expect an answer from us then we will need suitable contact information from you. Requests without a valid return address can't be processed by us. Specifically we will need your name, company if applicable and your return address as appropriate (postal address, fax or phone number and/or e-mail address). We prefer e-mail correspondence.
Your rights

Note: To exercise these rights it is required that you identify yourself to us. In the worst case we will then have more personal data about you than before your request, though our use of this data is strictly limited to the single purpose of identifying you for your request. And we may be legally bound to archive such requests and the identifying information in our business records.

By itself this data can't be associated directly with any specific person. It may be possible to derive the type of access and make assumptions about the technology involved. The reliabillity of this data is questionable though because numerous factors can influence it, not the least being intentional forgery. It would theoretically be possible to use this data, combined with other data collected in the browser, to track or identify you. However Lavielle emphatically does not do this! See below.
Our servers automatically log some of this data. We use these logs only for statistical purposes and for technical support and site enhancements.
Please be aware that this data is available to anyone involved with the data transfer or with access to the communication path. The use of SSL/TLS (HTTPS) can mitigate this somewhat by hiding the data or making access to it more difficult. Therefore we assume no responsibility for any third party use of this data.
Authentication
Should all or parts of this website require login credentials to view or use, the following applies with regards to privacy:
Any part of the website that requires login credentials to view or use is considered non-public. The privacy policy for the non-public part of the website is assumed to be separately agreed on and out of scope for this general privacy policy.
Any user who has permission to access non-public parts of the website will do so using only the credentials agreed on with the user for that purpose. We reserve the right to log the access including the name used as part of the credentials. As the part of the website thus accessed is non-public using the credentials implies separately agreed on consent to log the access.
Using credentials without the permission to do so or using credentials not specifically agreed on with the user is not allowed. We reserve the right to take legal action against the user or use other means to ensure the misuse of the credentials is stopped. All privacy protections of the offending user are forfeited and preceded by our right to ensure our legal rights to keep the non-public parts of the website accessible only to the rightful users.
No tracking
It should be a matter of course but we would like to explicitly state: we do not collect data for the purpose of tracking you or your behavior. We do not include advertisement or other 3rd-party content that might enable such collection of data. The data that will be unavoidably sent to us by using this website (see above) will be used only to process your request, and if necessary to solve technical issues with this website and for general, impersonal statistics on the use of this website.
